Summer 1 Week Junior Camp

Goal
To improve the core competencies of beginner and intermediate junior golfers, we focus on developing the fundamentals of setup and swing mechanics for basic golf skills, along with teaching golf etiquette and basic rules knowledge. Our goal is to advance playing abilities so that juniors can play on the course within the etiquette of golf and the framework of the rules, working towards obtaining a handicap.

Experience
We enhance core competencies through skill development stations that incorporate games, visual learning aids, and skill-specific competitions and tasks. On-course learning sessions cover etiquette, golf rules, and competitive play

Junior Eagle Practice Program

Goal
To provide an opportunity to be introduced to golf on the course with similar-aged juniors while being mentored/chaperoned by our professional staff. They will be learning etiquette, rules, and how to enjoy VGC to the fullest.

Experience
At no charge, included in their membership program for all junior members under 12 years of age. They will learn golf on-course in a fun/relaxed group setting with a mentor or chaperone.

This program includes:

  • 1 per week of group mentorship and chaperoning program, although learning and improvement will occur and are part of the objective.
  • Trade-in/ trade-up club program; buy your first set of clubs and trade in for proper sizing until the age of 12.

Fall Golf Get Ready

Goal
To introduce beginner junior golfers to golf and build a love and passion for the game. To present the fundamentals of golf in a fun group learning environment.

Experience
Learning through FUNdamental skill development stations that include games, visual learning aids, and skill-specific competitions and tasks

Fall Junior Competitive Program

Goal
To improve the core competencies of intermediate and advanced junior golfers, we focus on developing advanced swing mechanics for all golf skills, along with teaching golf strategy, tactics, and advanced rules knowledge. Our goal is to advance playing abilities so juniors can play on the course with proper golf etiquette and adherence to the rules, and work towards obtaining a handicap and participating in competitive formats.

Experience
Core competency learning occurs through skill development stations that include games, visual learning aids, and skill-specific competitions and tasks. On-course learning sessions encompass etiquette, golf rules, and competitions. 

Dates: September 10 - October 29
Time: Tuesdays, 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Cost: $280+tax (8 weeks)

Private Lessons

Private Lessons

Single Lesson

Goal
To provide long-term individual analysis and instruction for complete game improvement.

Experience
To enjoy instruction in a private, one on one setting creating a student/instructor relationship where they work together to create long-lasting improvements with technology in all aspects of the game of golf.

Duration: ½ hour sessions

45-Minute Lesson

Goal
To provide long-term individual analysis and instruction for complete game improvement.

Experience
To enjoy instruction in a private, one on one setting creating a student/instructor relationship where they work together to create long-lasting improvements with technology in all aspects of the game of golf.

Description: Blocked and random instruction sessions designed to give a tune-up or quick fix in specific skill development.

Description: All-encompassing intensive programs designed to accommodate any level of player and create lasting improvements. Programs include the introduction of theory, practice/training techniques, on course playing/strategy and tactics along with individual skill development. Student and instructor decide on the duration of individual lessons based on the package structure.
